Flexotrap has signed an agreement with Camp Ånn, a training platform under Swedish Federation for Voluntary Defence Education and Training and The Swedish
Armed Forces, for the delivery of an eco-friendly bullet trap and shielding system designed for year-round use, even in harsh winter conditions. The shooting range will accommodate up to 24 shooters and meets all safety requirements according to SäkB and Swedish Fortifications Agency regulations.
“This deal is a crucial part of Flexotrap’s efforts to help the Swedish Armed Forces and other armed authorities train more shooters, more frequently. Additionally, this delivery will take place in a subarctic environment, which we know is a sought-after training area internationally,” says Elias Mibesjö, CEO of Flexotrap.
The new shooting range includes an eco-friendly bullet trap with shielding that prevents lead and metal from reaching the ground and groundwater, eliminating the need for cleaning and restoration. The range allows shooting at angles up to 22 degrees in elevation and 67 degrees horizontally, with a shooting distance of up to 300 meters for rifles and 45 meters for pistols. Its deployable design enables the range to be moved in standard formats and relocated, remaining fully operational down to -40 degrees Celsius.
“This agreement allows us to enhance our winter training offerings while also meeting current and future environmental requirements. We already have booking inquiries for winter shooting from government agencies and will work to gradually increase utilization,” says Ulf Olofsson, CEO of Camp Ånn.
The delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024.
